![]() ![]() ![]() The deal is simple: Lockdown and Cemetery Wind work together to hunt down Transformers, kill them, but ship their bodies off to an undisclosed location. In a private meeting, Attinger, Lockdown, and Josie speak. When Ratchet refuses to co-operate, Lockdown kills him, removing a piece of his armour as a trophy. Attinger’s “asset” arrives – the Transformer bounty hunter Lockdown, who asks Ratchet where Optimus Prime is hiding. Cemetery Wind, led by CIA Director Harold Attinger, hunt down Ratchet in New Orleans and gun him down, despite his pleas for mercy and being a medic. Though the UN offered them asylum, the Autobots vanished whilst in Mexico City. Years have passed since the defeat of the Decepticons, but the Autobots’ own damaged rep led to them become illegal immigrants. Hardened by grief and hate, she now hunts Transformers, regardless of faction, with cold contempt. Josie blacks out, and wakes up to find her daughter has died, and the Autobots haven’t come to save her.Ĭut to several years later, specifically 1996, where Josie has become a grounded black ops agent for a rogue CIA squad called “Cemetery Wind”. The arrival of Cybertron causes the town’s gravity to go out of whack, making Josie’s car to float into the air, before crashing to the ground. From her point of view, the Transformers, regardless of faction, are nightmarish death machines. Josie and her daughter Dulcy are caught in the battle in Jasper, Nevada, attempting to flee town, but find Transformers at every turn. Fans may recognise her name from the Marvel Comics as the supervillain Circuit Breaker. The film begins in 1987 during the Battle for Cybertron, from the point of view of a new human character named Josie Beller. Anyway, without further ado, let’s get into the reimagining of Transformers: Age of Extinction. I might retroactively make Bumblebee canon to this reimagining, but that would alter the timeline, since my rewrite for Transformers 1 took place in 1984. Since I finished rewriting Dark of the Moon, Bumblebee came out, was amazing, and officially rebooted the Transformers film franchise. I’ve previously rewritten the preceding three films, and made some major changes, including the roster of Autobots and Decepticons, emphasizing more on the mythology, and making the focus balance out between the Transformers and the humans. There isn’t really much to change here, but Age of Extinction still needs a rewrite. The film was also ridiculously long, dragged out, and had way too much padding going on. It actually had a compelling if drawn out story, improved special effects, the Transformers were given a little more personality, and performances were good. We've also seen a number of explosive videos from the set in Detroit recently, and hopefully we'll get to see much more footage from the set soon as filming continues. The fourth live action Transformers movie wasn’t that bad. With shooting still under way, it remains to be seen how many more of these robots in disguise will be unveiled by Michael Bay over the next few weeks and months. Over the past few weeks, we've seen glimpses of Autobots Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, Drift and Sqweeks, along with the Decepticons Megatron, Barricade and Onslaught. Jerrod Carmichael (NBC's The Carmichael Show) has also come aboard in an unspecified supporting role, possibly serving as this sequel's comedy relief. Isabela Moner is playing the female lead, though no character details have been revealed. Meanwhile back on Earth, Wahlberg's Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat that brings Josh Duhamel's Lennox and Tyrese Gibson's Epps back into duty. The Last Knight centers on Optimus Prime, who has been searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the beings believed to be responsible for the creation of the Transformers race. It also isn't known if John DiMaggio will return to voice Crosshairs or not. Since this Autobot is practically identical in appearance from the previous movie, it's believed that he will still transform into a newer model of the Corvette Stingray, but we don't know for sure. ![]() In Transformers: Age of Extinction, Crosshairs' vehicular form was a lime green 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray. We first met Crosshairs in 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction, and he appears to be quite identical in appearance from the previous blockbuster.ĭirector Michael Bay revealed the photo on Twitter last night, teasing that the only thing green about Crosshairs is his color, inferring that he is quite experienced in battle. ![]() Over the weekend, we got a new look at Autobots Drift and Sqweeks, and today we have another Autobot warrior, Crosshairs. As production continues on Paramount's Transformers: The Last Knight, director Michael Bay has taken it upon himself to introduce all of these old and new robots in disguise. ![]()
